Early in the morning you will be met at your hotel lobby and transferred to Yenikapi for the speed ferry to Bursa (2hrs). Bursa is the first capital of the Ottoman Empire and one of the greatest treasure houses of Islamic architecture. We will first visit the Green Mosque and the neighboring Green Mausoleum, both world-renowned for their superb tile decoration, as well as the late 14th century Great Mosque and the Koza Han, which for centuries was the center of Bursa’s flourishing silk trade. Lunch will be served at one of Bursa’s most famous traditional Turkish restaurants, the Daruzziyafe, where we will enjoy – the finest authentic Ottoman cuisine in a historic setting, where Sultan Murat the Second once dined. After enjoying a leisurely cable car ride up the steep slopes of Mount Olympus (Turkish: Uludag), you will visit the Historical Plane Tree (PlatanusOrientalis) which is 600 years old, 35m long, 3m in diameter and 920m in circumference. At the end of the tour, you will be driven to Bursa ferry port for the return ferry to Istanbul. On your arrival to Yenikapi ferry port, you will be met and transferred to your hotel.
